I can relate to this as a post-tenure guy. I see many of my colleagues falling into this as well. It feels like a struggle to maintain the momentum to publish and pursue grants, etc... But, I am somewhat motivated by considering different directions I could take my research. I literally have like 2 papers that I have stalled out on for about 3 or 4 years now.

If the students are paying for the course and the teacher is drawing a salary based on the latter, the teacher has an obligation to respond to ALL e-mails from their students. Relationships? What the hell are you talking about? If teachers have relationships with their students or show favouritism of any kind based on how well they might know their pupils they are unprofessional in the extreme and should be removed from their position.

I feel like it can be misleading, though... For me, sometimes I rely on data to decide whether the prof is a good one more than if I actually like them and how I feel about them because sometimes all that glitters is not gold and by that I mean that some professors know how to attract students by the way they talk but they may not be the best for example in research. Like we all know that one professor who is super boring and not that social but has the highest H-index and is probably the smartest... I don't know, maybe I misunderstood your point, but I would love to hear your take on that...

Joined the platform and it is terrible. It's very slow and not very intuitive. I had no idea how to proceed with the writing "test". Didn't know how much editing the wanted me to do, so I just basically rewrote the entire thing. Then when I tried to submit, the platform wouldn't respond and timed out. Not a very promising introduction.

I have been working but my salary doesn't grow because was not a graduate.I realised that its me hurting internally than those who will see me i class doing my exams.Am to graduate in Community and Mental Health Psychology next year ans will be 47yrs.I will proceed for Clinical Psychology at Masters.Am so determined! Am also single,its now that i could afford to study!!

The reason its unconventional is because it doesnt work lol "i want to be a game designer" *proceeds to rack up hundreds of thousands in debt only to find out that game design doesnt make shit and you cant barely find a job* the only goal you can 100% of the time accomplish through effort is a trade you need to lower expectations and find success in actual work not stupidity
